Eagle has been sharing wisdom with me for a long time. I frequently see Eagles these days and often he shows up in my meditations. Today, Eagle asked that I share a message with you.
Eagle knows who you are ;-).
Eagle: I want to talk with you about Leadership. It is time for people that understand how we (animals, birds, plants, fish, and humans) are all connected to dig deep within and find their power and bring it forth to lead others.
Many will think that leadership means to be someone that leads thousands or millions but that is not the case. Leaders are around you everyday. Each of you has a significant impact on others when you share your unique gifts. You may not be aware of it but there is much that you have learned in your life that you can share with others who will benefit from your wisdom.
Your starting place is to lead from a place of love; from your heart. Claim your Divine essence and own it, then share it. Keeping it hidden serves no one.
Wendy: How do we get clear about who we are to lead?
Eagle: It isn’t about who. When you claim your truth, when you live your life authentically, you become a leader. You become a beacon of light for others to follow. It happens automatically.
It is vital for you to understand how important it is to be true to yourself. To know what is important to you, to know what feels true to you…and then to live a life that reflects that truth. It requires self reflection, examination and honesty. It means looking under the rug and sweeping out the dirt. It means no longer filling your life with activities or people that keep you out of integrity with what you know to be true.
Now is the time to step up. Will you heed my calling?
Eagles’ advice reminds me of a couple of favorite quotes.
“When you do what you are here to do you help others do what they are here to do”. Alan Cohen
This is true. Friends have shared with me that when I left a very successful career in business to follow my calling to communicate with and heal animals it inspired them to follow their own dreams. Seeing someone else say no to the status quo and follow their heart is inspirational because it touches that part of us that desperately wants to bring our own unique stamp to the world. It calls us to think about what is most important to us and what we were meant to share in this lifetime.
When Eagle talks about the importance of understanding and being true to you it reminds me of a quote from Jesus in the Gospel of Thomas.
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.” Gospel of Thomas, verse 70.
There can be various interpretations of this quote. To me it has meant that if I don’t listen to my soul’s calling, if I don’t do what is true for me, it will destroy me. And honestly, it almost did.
Before I began working as a professional animal communicator and intuitive educator I worked as a business and economic development professional (yep, suits, briefcases, all that very corporate stuff). But it wasn’t what I was meant to do and as I result I became very ill. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. I had to take a partial disability from my job because the pain, fatigue and anxiety kept me bed ridden several days a week. When I finally got honest with myself about what was important and made some changes to my life, my “diseases” disappeared. (I also got my energetic and physical body realigned with acupuncture and reiki and learned to manage my empathic sensitivities).
I’ve learned that when I find myself fatigued and in pain that I need to look at what I am creating in my life. Is it consistent with my beliefs and values? Am I being true to myself? Now that I understand myself on a much deeper level I can make these adjustments quickly and there is no need to suffer.
There is also an exponential factor to you becoming a leader. You may think you are only touching a few lives or even a few hundred. The truth is with every person that ignites their passion and truth in response to your doing so, that many more will follow their lead. It has a domino effect and so you are far more reaching than you may have ever thought possible.
Just imagine how our world, our earth, would be different if we each looked closely at what was really important to us? If we examined our beliefs and thoughts and tossed out those that were not our truths? If we followed our truth and our heart’s desire?
What is your heart’s desire, your truth?
Please feel free to share here and be the leader Eagle has called you to be.

This (below) spoke directly to me as I am in that phase right now where I am testing the validity of the people around me and trying to understand why some activities I “love” in theory are not working in reality :).
“It means no longer filling your life with activities or people that keep you out of integrity with what you know to be true. ”
Thank you Eagle and Wendy.
