As I drifted off into meditation today I found myself back in time on the great plains of the west.  There were rolling hills and tall grass bending with the breeze.  I could see hundreds of buffalo and felt as if I were observing them as a hunter from a Native American tribe.  Quietly I watched the enormous buffalo moving slowly about, grazing quietly and contentedly. The branches are heavy with the first snow as mother nature blankets us in her white quiet. It's as if all the commotion in the world has come to a stop. No war, no greed, no pain. The wood stove heats the room and casts a beautiful orange glow across Doc laying contented in his bed basking in the warmth.
